CKJM's New Broadcasting Tower in Pomquet.

Pomquet can now receive CKJM’s signal at 92.5 FM

As of Thursday July 10, the community of Pomquet and surrounding areas can listen to Radio CKJM’s broadcast at 92,5 FM.

The project includes the installation of a new broadcasting tower in Pomquet, improvements to the existing studios in Chéticamp, as well as the installation of power plants which will allow Radio CKJM to transmit its signal during power outages in the région.

With these improvements to their studios, CKJM has become an important partner in the community’s emergency plan.

CKJM wants to thank Heritage Canada, Enterprise Cape Breton Corporation, the Nova Scotia Department of Economic Development and the Société Sainte Croix in Pomquet.

Radio CKJM is a community radio serving its community with programming featuring Acadian and East Coast artists as well as Francophone artists from Canada and the world. The radio broadcasts at 106.1 FM in the Chéticamp area since October 1995 and through its internet site www.ckjm.ca, since the summer of 2002.
